Motor Carrier Override Criteria

The following situations are not eligible for overrides (Exceptions are listed below):

  • Lack of required insurance or active equipment not listed on a Scheduled Autos policy.

    • For carrier’s that fail for “Carrier must not have an active insight for Equipment Not Listed On Scheduled Auto Insight.” - this can be corrected using the following steps:

      • Update Highway: If the carrier has updated insurance to show the unlisted VINs, they can have their COI updated on Highway.

        OR

      • Provide Documentation for VINs not listed: If a truck was last seen by Highway within last 30 days (via ELD, Insurance Cert, or Inspection) we can use documentation showing the equipment is no longer in service (bill of sale, shop quote, etc.).

  • Acute or Critical Safety Violations

  • Highway Identity Alerts (Double Brokering, etc.)

  • Failure to have an ELD connection (ELD exempt carriers can be overridden)

  • Exceeding the federal threshold in three or more CSA categories

  • Non-domiciled CDLs
