Carrier Override Request Form
Please complete the following form to request an override on a carrier that doesn’t pass our standard rule set in Highway.
Motor Carrier Override Criteria
The following situations are not eligible for overrides (Exceptions are listed below):
Lack of required insurance or active equipment not listed on a Scheduled Autos policy.
For carrier’s that fail for “Carrier must not have an active insight for Equipment Not Listed On Scheduled Auto Insight.” - this can be corrected using the following steps:
Verify VIN: Request the VIN for the vehicle that will be hauling your load. If this VIN is listed on the current COI, you must provide proof at pickup that the truck picking up the load matches a VIN on the current COI.
OR
Provide Documentation for VINs not listed: If equipment was seen in last 30 days, we can use documentation showing the equipment is no longer in service (bill of sale, shop quote, etc.). If equipment was last seen over 30 days ago, simply request an override with no additional documentation.
Acute or Critical Safety Violations
Highway Identity Alerts (Double Brokering, etc.) except when carrier is the victim of identity theft
For victims of identity theft, provide the name, phone number, and email of the person you are speaking to in the “message” section below.
Failure to have ELD connection OR an inspection history (ELD exempt carriers can be overridden)
Exceeding the threshold in three of more CSA categories
NOTE If a carrier override is granted, you will likely be required to use an additional tool such as QuikSkope or Trucker Tools Tracking. Carrier overrides will not be granted in the future to users that fail to use the required additional tools as deemed necessary by our carrier development department.
